The William Spencer Trust was set up in 1719 to benefit residents of North and South Wheatley, considered to be "poor " or "necessitous persons".
The trust owns 7.55 acres of arable land, which was initially utilised as allotments given to trust beneficiaries .
Today, the land is rented out for farming, and monies raised through rent are allocated appropriately on an annual basis to people within the parish. This is managed by trustees acting on behalf of the charity. If you feel you or someone you know could benefit from the Trust and you/they are a resident of North and South Wheatley please contact the clerk to the parish council who will inform the trustees: - Email clerk@northandsouthwheatleyparishcouncil.gov.uk
